CUSTOMER BUILT TWO 32 FORD ROADSTERS IN TWO YEARS, THE CANDY RED ROADSTER WAS SOLD IN RENO IN 2007. THE CANDY BLUE 32 FORD ROADSTER  HAS ABOUT 200 MILES ON IT AND IS IN A TRAILER SOME PLACE IN WYOMING. UP-DATE SOLD IN 2009 SOMEWHERE IN THE NORTH WEST.

                          MARK'S  DREAM

33 FORD COUPE (BELOW) WAS A DREAM OF A FRIEND OF MINE. WE STARTED IT TOGETHER BUT DIDN'T GET IT FINISHED BEFORE HE DIED. HIS SON AND GRANDSON HAVE IT NOW, SOME WHERE IN NEW MEXICO AND WILL FINISH IT TOGETHER. DESIGNED AND BUILT BY RICK'S ROD SHOP 11/12/09


REAR FRAME CLIP WITH BAT WING TO RAISE THE IRS CROSSMEMBER CD FRAME RAILS FOR DRIVE AXLE CLEANANCE CLEARANCE NEED WITH SUSPENSION FULLY COMPRESSED
INSTALL IRS PINION CROSSMEMBER START TO MAKE SUB FRAME TO LOWER THE FRONT SUSPENION REAR IRS @ DRIVE HEIGHT, NOTE YOU CAN SEE THE BAT WING GOING UP INSIDE THE TRUNK FLOOR FOR THE IRS CROSSMEMBER

STARTING TO BUILD SUB FRAME FOR THE HEIDTS SUPER RIDE IFS (TO LOWER THE CAR 3'' FROM THE FRAME BUILDER HAD DONE IFR BRACKETS INSTALLED, NOTE THE FRAME BUILDER'S FRAME HORNS, (TO SHORT, TO LOW AND TOO NARROW FOR THE IFS)  RECHECKING SUB FRAME FITMENT (WE MOVE THE IFS UP 3 TO LOWER THE CAR,
MORE CHECKING BEFORE WELDING, WE MOVE THE IFS FORWARD 8 MORE CHECKING AND CROSS BRACING BEFORE WELDING IN THE WHEEL TEMPLES DON'T LOOK RIGHT, BUT THE FRT IS 24.5 DIA & THE RR IS 31.5''

WELDING FINISHED, NOTE THE DIAMOND PLATE IN THE INSIDE RAIL. OUTSIDE RAIL WERE PLUG WELDED IN THE INSIDE.  REST OF THE WELDS RUN WITH THE FRAME,  24 PLUS TEST FIT BILLET SPECIALTIES WHEELS & MICKEY THOMPSON TIRES WENT WITH 30 DIA TIRES, 3.5 CLEARANCE BETWEEN BODY AND TIRES. 1/4+ CLEARANCE WITH SUSPENSION COMPRESSED. NO ROOM FOR THE TIRE TO GROW
THE LOOK WE WANTED, 30X1200R18 TIRES ON 18''X 9.5 NOT TOO WIDE. HAD TO MOVE THE TRAILING MOUNTS INBOARD TO CLEAR THE CUSTOM WHEEL OFF SET. WHEN YOU LOWER THE FRAME YOU HAVE THE RAISE THE ENGINE AND TRANS MOUNTS FOR GROUND CLEARANCE.

MOCK-UP ALMOST DONE HAD TO DO A LOT OF CHANGES TO THE FRAME BUILDER'S FRAME TO BUILD THE MARKS DREAM. NOTE THE CENTER CROSSMEMBER, WITH THE ENGINE & TRANS RAISED IN THE FRAM 1.5'' FOR GROUND CLEARANCE. WE HAD TO BUILD TUNNELS FOR THE DRIVELINE.
TRACK WIDE IS THE SAME FRONT AND REAR, WENT WITH 26X800R15 ON 15X7'' RIM READY FOR DELIVERY, JUST NEED TO PUT DUMMY ENGINE & TRANS & INSTALL BODY LOADED AND READY TO GO TO NEW MEXICO

THE SON AND GRANDSON TOGETHER WILL FINISH MARK'S DREAM.
